Our lead teacher is American Montessori Society (AMS) certified.

What is Montesshare?
Montesshare is a Montessori, Spanish enriched preschool in an intimate, home environment for 2.5 to 6 year olds. Our mission at Montesshare is to share a Montessori education to equip the next generation of world changers.

We enjoy class Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM - 5:15 PM from mid-August through the end of July.
We have two Montessori teachers guiding 10-12 children. Our Montessori classroom is in the sunny, walk-out basement of a home in Alexandria (22315).
We are licensed by the State of Virginia. We are proud to be certified with ChildCare Aware and MCCYN in which our military families are eligible for an up to 50% tuition credit.
We all know Early Childhood is an important time in the life of the child; it is an important time in the lives of parents, too! At Montesshare, we work to honor and ease that time for both you and your child. We are building a community of families who value not only the structure and freedom inherent in Montessori education, but the connection, as well.
Montesshare was birthed from Joy Wilder’s desire for an affordable, Montessori, Spanish infused education for her own four children. She draws on her experience co-founding TOTH Montessori (Best of D.C. Preschools eight years and counting!), her deep desire to help families thrive, and a commitment to the science of child development and education in order to create this beautiful Montessori space. She loves equipping parents to parent for more moments of appreciation and peace with their child!
As a state licensed, in-home program, you and your child will have a sense of security and confidence from the moment you enter our spaceous, light filled classroom. At Montesshare, we understand the anxiety of separation as we understand the relationship between emotion and learning. We are committed to sharing the challenges and successes of this special phase in life, from our beautiful homey environment and intimate ratios to our flexible schedules and affordable rates, we make it easy to share this part of your family’s journey!

I seriously didn’t think I could have such peace each morning...
When thinking of trusting our child with someone else – well, it was plain scary. Could any place truly be safe and nurturing enough for Alexandra? Then we stumbled across Montesshare – in a beautiful home, yet licensed by the State. Valerie has held our hand as we’ve watched Alexandra flourish in this safe cocoon. I seriously didn’t think I could have such peace each morning as I wave goodbye to my daughter before heading to work. With our extended family overseas, we’ve found a second a home for our daughter and wouldn’t ever look back.
