The Prepared Environment
Our Program
Nurturing the Whole Child
Our classroom is a space designed to foster more than just academic skills; it is where children develop the grit, independence, and foundational mindset needed to thrive. We believe that social-emotional development—nurtured through our focus on Grace and Courtesy—is equally as important as traditional academics.
Guided by the principles of positive discipline, we empower each child to take ownership of their choices and their learning. By honoring the development of the whole child, we help them find joy in effort, fulfillment in sustained focus, and the grit to meet every new challenge with a peaceful and resilient heart.
Program Features
Independence and Confidence
Through purposeful, real-world activities, children develop coordination and confidence. By engaging in “Practical Life” tasks—like sweeping or caring for the environment—they learn that they are capable, contributing members of a community.
A Global Perspective and Spanish Enrichment
We believe in raising global citizens. Throughout the year, we place a high emphasis on exploring world cultures, traditions, and geography to build empathy and curiosity. This is enhanced by our Spanish-enriched environment, where children are introduced to a second language naturally through song, story, and daily interaction.
The Gift of Concentration
We honor the uninterrupted work cycle, allowing children the time they need to reach a state of deep concentration. Whether they are discovering the foundations of math with the bank game or exploring language, our students build the stamina and focus required for advanced academic learning.
Kindergarten: The Leadership Year
The final year of the Montessori Primary cycle is the leadership year. As the oldest students in our community, our kindergarteners transition from followers to mentors, solidifying their own knowledge by teaching younger peers. This capstone experience is when years of preparation culminate in advanced academic work and sophisticated social confidence. Staying for the third year allows the child to reap the full harvest of their Montessori journey, ensuring they enter elementary school as poised, self-assured leaders.
Our Daily Rhythm
Montesshare operates on a year-round calendar (mid-August through July), providing a consistent and stable environment for our students to grow. Our optional Summer Session offers a lighter, exploration-focused rhythm during the month of July.
